Operation Neighborhood Watch Concluded in Gallia and Meigs Counties
Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement Agencies Join Forces to
Protect our Communities
Gallipolis and Pomeroy, Ohio – The United States Marshals
Service in the Southern District of
Ohio, the State of Ohio Adult Parole Authority, the State of Ohio Bureau
of Criminal Identification
and Investigation (BCI) and the men and women of the Gallia County and
Meigs County Sheriff’s Offices conducted a joint law enforcement effort
to verify the residency of local sex offenders in
their counties.

the publics help to locate the above individuals wanted for
questioning on various cases that detectives are looking into. If you
know the whereabouts of these
individuals please contact the Gallia County Sheriff's Office at (740)

our 24 hour Tip Line at (740) 446-6555. All we need is your information,
you can remain anonymous. |

Work Release Center to
Open in February
The Gallia
County Work Release Center is an alternative to jail. Those persons
who have been convicted of minor criminal offenses may petition the
court to
serve their sentence at this facility. This allows the resident to
continue to
work without losing his employment.

Up-Coming Training
Announced.
The Gallia County Sheriff's Office
will host a course on February 17, 2010
covering
PATROL RESPONSE TO THE SUSPICIOUS DEATH AND HOMICIDE SCENE.
This course will be held at Ohio
State Highway Patrol Post # 27 located at 396 Jackson Pike,
Gallipolis, Ohio from 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. This course is only
available to certified law
enforcement officer only.

and Thursdays from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00
