Info Sought in Sexual Battery Case.

  On May 22, 2009 Gallia County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Robert H. Erwin.

Erwin age 66 of Gallipolis, was charged with two counts of sexual battery.   The

charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office after a complaint

was filed that alleged the incidents of sexual battery occurred from 1989-1991. 

  The investigation revealed that Erwin was a youth league athletic coach during

the time of the offense.  Additional charges will be sought after detective’s further interview

victims, as the incidents have occurred over the past twenty years and as recently as one

month ago. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective staff

at 740-446-4614.  The Ohio Attorney Generals’ BCI & I have been contacted to assist

with locating victims who might have since moved out of Ohio.
