Sheriff's Deputies Investigate Fatal Crash

  August 3, 2009 – Huntington Twp. Gallia County:  Gallia County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report

of an off road vehicle crash that occurred in a rural area of Huntington Twp. in North West Gallia

County. Deputies were advised that 10 year old Levi T. Dodrill of Shepherd Lane, Vinton was ejected from

the vehicle he was in after it rolled over while being operated in a field on his family’s property. Levi

was transported, by private vehicle, to Holzer Medical Center near Gallipolis where he was later

pronounced dead.  Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning stated that three other juveniles were also in the

vehicle (a modified golf cart) at the time of the crash and that no criminal charges are being anticipated at

this time.
