Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Missing Person

Gallipolis – Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning has issued a media alert for assistance in locating a
missing Franklin County Ohio man.  Authorities at the BLENDON TWP. (Franklin County, OHIO)
Police Department have taken a missing persons report from the family of David M. Harshe -
Stedman, age 37 of Westerville, Ohio. According to the report Mr. Stedman had contacted his
family by text message on the night of January 11, 2010 - January 12, 2010 that text was linked
back to a cell phone tower in Gallia County.  David is a former University of Rio Grande student
and would be familiar with the Rio Grande and Gallia County Area.  He was last seen driving a
blue 2001 Jeep Cherokee. David is believed to be distraught and possibly suicidal.

Anyone with information on David’s whereabouts should call the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office
at 740-446-1221 or their local law enforcement agency.
