GCSO deputies report secondary roads are snow covered with some slick conditions. Level 1 Advisory: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
The Sheriff has lifted all road levels for Gallia County as of 2/10/2014 at 9:00pm. Some secondary roads have ice and snow, please use caution.

Gallia Co. Sheriff Joe Browning has issued a level 2 Snow advisory for Gallia County roadways. Level 2 means that roadways are dangerous with blowing and drifting snow. Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning has discontinued the “Level One Snow advisory” as of today January 27, 2014 at 4:00pm. Most primary roadways appear clear, however some county and township roads may still have snow or ice. These roads may be hazardous in places for travel. Motorists are still encourgaed to drive very cautiously.
Gallia County deputies are looking for a reported missing male from the Bullaville Pike area. Stephen E. Walter 59 yrs. old, white male. Walter reportedly has not been seen by his family for 3 weeks. Stephen Walter is 5’10″ and 130lbs. brown hair grey eyes. Report indicates that he has medical problems. No clothing description at this time.
