Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office accepts Ohio Concealed Carry applications from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday,  Wednesday, and Thursday. Other times and days may be made by appointment by phoning 740-446-0734.

Applicants must have the following:

  • A certificate of completion of a firearms safety course.
  • A completed application form.
  • A valid Ohio drivers license or Ohio ID card.
  • A passport sized photo that has been taken in the last 30 days (can be a head and shoulders “snap shot”)

 Fees (payable by cash* or check)

Original license:

  • Ohio resident for the past 5 years…….$67
  • If have not been an Ohio resident for the past 5 years………$91

Renewal………………………$50

Temporary emergency license…………$30

Replacement license………….$15
