Sheriff Martin has addressed a safety issue of elderly residents in the
community. One
of the first
projects he addressed was a purchase of 400 emergency beacons. The emergency
beacon is a
special light bulb, which can be activated by switching the light switch on
rapidly
twice in a
row. It then will appear similar to a strobe light. This special light
signals that there
is an
emergency and anyone who sees it will call 911 for help. If you or someone
