The Washinton County Sheriff’s Office says Joseph Hajj and James Moore wrote fraudulent checks to by a 2013 Ford Truck from Family Ford in Marietta on December 19. The check was written for over 52-thousa…nd dollars. Upon investigations, deputies traced the men back to active warrants for similar activity in Georgia, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Gallia and Meigs Counties in Ohio.

Investigators say they used fraudulent checks to buy 400-thousand-dollars worth of vehicles, firearms, gasoline, and tools. Washington County investigators tracked the two men across state lines and became in contact with the United States Marshall’s Office Fugitive Squad. They were then able to arrest Moore in Chattanooga Tennessee and arrest Hajj in Kennesaw Georgia. They say both men were driving stolen vehicles. Moore is being held in Chattanooga and Hajj in Cobb County pending extradition to Ohio.
