Suspicious Death of John S. Sheets Now A Homicide
Gallia County – Gallia County Sheriff, Joe Browning, says that through investigation it has been determined that what was initially called a suspicious death is now ruled as a homicide. After 3 days of intense investigation by the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, BCI & I and the Gallia-Meigs Major Crimes Task Force two Gallia County men are in custody.
Joseph D. Plymale, 27, 1269 Clark Chapel Road, Springfield Township has been charged with Murder, Aggravated Robbery, Weapons Under Disability, Theft, and Theft of Weapons.
Christopher W. Bowman, 272 Oak Drive, Green Township has been charged with Complicity to Commit Aggravated Robbery, Complicity to Commit Theft, and Receiving Stolen Property.
Through their investigation officers were able to compile evidence that lead to the arrest of these two men, according to Sheriff Browning.
This is an excellent example of good police work by both agencies, Sheriff Browning said. Eight search warrants were obtained and executed as a result of this investigation. This all ties back to the drug problem that has became prevalent in Southeast Ohio and the surrounding area as two additional arrests were made for possession of heroin. These were as a result of search warrants that were issued.
Both men will be arraigned in court.
