Gallia Deputies are searching for Joseph Christopher Hajj age 32 concerning a felony theft by bad check charge from Beckley, West Virginia (warrant). There are also similar charges pending in Ohio. Hajj is suspected of passing bad checks to obtain a 2012 Dodge truck in West Virginia. The truck was recovered in the quail creek mobile home area today by Gallia Deputies. Update to the Gallia County Sheriff Level 1 snow advisory for Gallia County. Level 1 advisory has been lifted. Although state routes are generally clear for travel please continue to use caution, secondary County and Township roads still have snow and ice spots. We will advise as the weather situation determines any changes.
The Gallia County Sheriff has issued a Level 1 snow advisory for Gallia County. Level 1 Advisory means: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy. Drive very cautiously.
Update: 12/18/2012- Inmate Theresa Artz has been arrested in Point Pleasant, WV and is in cutody. Deputies search for Gallia Co. James E. Gardner, a person of interest in the murder of his father James W. Gardner in Meigs County was captured by the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office late on the morning of Dec. 7,2012, at what appeared to be a converted hunting cabin in the area of Smokey Row and White Cemetery Road, according to Gallia County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy.

Nov. 29, 2012- Gallia Deputies responded to a property owner’s report of a prowler on SR 7 south of Eureka. Upon arriving at the scene GCSO deputies pursued a white male on foot into the wooded area north of the property. GCSO, Lawrence Co.
