NEWS RELEASE
Gallipolis – December 19, 2007 –
Sheriff David L. Martin wishes to announce that he has promoted two
deputies within his senior staff at the annual Sheriff’s Office Award
Banquet held at the Holiday Inn on December 13th, 2007.
Captain John Perry was promoted to the rank of Major and will continue to
act as Chief Deputy. Lieutenant Joe Browning was promoted to Captain and
will continue to supervise the road patrol division.
According to Sheriff Martin, Major Perry and Captain
Browning collective have approximately 50 years of fulltime law
enforcement experience and both are deserving of this recognition.
