Victim Information and Notification Everyday

Gallia County crime victims now have a way to access information about their perpetrators 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and all they have to do is make a phone call.

Gallia County is now on-line with VINE, or Victim Information and Notification Everyday, which provides offender information over the telephone and allows victims to be notified when that offender is released or transferred.

Here's how VINE works:
  •   For inmate information, call 1-800-770-0192.
  •   Be prepared to provide the offender's name or inmate number.
  •   VINE monitors inmate court case status through a computer connection with the  prosecutor's on-site records system.
  •   When an inmate has a change in status, the call center will automatically begin to call all registered victims.  Notification calls continue every half-hour for 24 hours or until the victim enters a Personal Identification Number (or PIN) to indicate a successful notification.
  •   VINE will leave a message on an answering machine, but will continue to call every two hours until the 24-hour period is over.
  •   When completed, the service will electronically link all Ohio's county courts, county jails, state prison, and juvenile facilities to the VINE National Call Center in Louisville, KY..
